Christmas Turbos is a 3d racing game, for 1 to 4 players (splitscreen), that can be played on desktop, phone and tablet.

It is a top down racing game in the style of Micro Machines where your miniature cars race and drift around elevated environments, and you can knock your opponents off cliffs.

Christmas Turbos has all the great racing physics of Topdown Turbos, but this time in 3d and local splitscreen. Race up to 4 friends around four environments: snow, racetrack, desert and city, all in 3d and with up to six diferent camera views.

Controls are gamepad or keyboard.

Keyboard - WASD or cursor keys. Space to change the camera view.

Controller - use A or right trigger to accelerate. Y button or left bumper (LB) to change the camera view.

*16 March 2026 - check out the new skyboxes for desert and city! Some nice pixel art panoramas.

*15 March 2026 - added a cinematic intro to the race. Currently working on making higher detail skyboxes

*8 March 2026 - updated the race preview screens

*7 March 2026 - added a toggle in the pause menu to turn touch controls on or off (handy for those playing on desktop who don't want to see touch controls on the screen)

*1 March 2026 - there are now 8 selectable characters (up from the previous 4). There is now a single player menu, along with a 2-4 player menu.

*25 February 2026 - touch controls have been added, for playing on tablets, iPads and phone. I will in the next few days be adding an option to toggle touch controls on or off so you don't have to see them on desktop. You will also see that a camera view button has been added at the top right of the screen for toggling the views, including chase and topdown.

*22 February 2026 - this is a key update for the game! New camera views, including chase cameras! Massive fps boost, performance greatly improved. Press space on the keyboard to change camera views, or Y on the controller (xbox) or triangle if you use a PS5 controller.

*15 February 2026 - a new environment, City, has just been added! Check it out in the Single Race menu.

*16 January 2026 - each character now has their own unique type of car to fit their personality. Next I am working on creating a fourth type of environment (City) to complement the existing environments of Snow, Racetrack and Desert.

*29 December 2025 - added a podium screen following campaign and single race to show 1st, 2nd and third.

*28 December 2025 - labels added above cars during race to show name and race position.

*25 December 2025 - added a higher default camera view (but you can still change camera views with space key or Y or LB button on controller). Also added mouse click support to the menus.
