Destroy all of the humans in this horizontal scrolling shmup game!
It is in early alpha stage now, but the first level is half finished and it is playable up until that point. I will try to update this every week or two so you can see the progress.
Description
I have been working on this for a few weeks. I am excited to get more done!
It is a basically an arcade style side-scrolling space shooter. The story starts in the future with humans colonizing the outer solar system. They go to try to set up some trade agreements with a race of aliens that live on Neptune. A summit is set up and there is a fancy banquet with a large variety of delicious foods from each culture. One of the aliens is eating a dish and comments that it is amazing and asks to compliment the chef personally. He tells the chef that he has never eaten anything like it and asks him what it is. The chef tells him it is calamari. The alien inquired about what calamari is and the chef tells him that it is rings and tentacles from squid. The alien looks surprised and ask if humans eat other similar dishes. The chef tells him about Takoyaki (Octopus fritters). The alien looks horrified. His suit opens and it is revealed that the alien was an octopus in a bi-pedal suit the entire time.
"THIS TRADE SUMMIT IS OVER!", he exclaimed.
The king of Neptune is notified and it is decided that the only way to handle this is to exterminate all humans. If they had only know the hairless monkeys were eating their Earth brothers sooner! Neptune doesn't have a large military because they are a mostly peaceful race. There is one gunship built from an old mining frigate by a hermit on Pluto. That is all Terry Tentacles will need to get the job done.
